Introspection 2026

Introspection is a part of a series of works titled Dancing Underground Waterways which is a performance series that resurfaces bodies of water through dance, to restore forgotten and hidden waterways as a part of our ecology.
The project leads groups of community members alongside visible and non-visible bodies of water in Queens, to explore and consider concealed topographies and histories. This experience forges a deeper connection to the environment and specifically, the bodies of water that are hidden, yet still active in Queens neighborhoods.
For this specific waterway I will be examining Luyster Creek, a body of water that has been revitalized in Ditmars, Astoria Queens, yet is hidden and un-visited by the masses. Join us in bringing community to this waterway through dance!
