Short Duet For A Lonely Gentleman was created by UK choreographer Barnaby Booth in collaboration with los little guys. This work is a fast-paced and incredibly detailed snapshot of an endlessly repeating story. Trapped in cycles of aggression and loneliness, two men reshuffle and rationalize their hopelessness, lust, and pride. Having been presented in Mexico, the USA, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, India, Iceland, Denmark, Germany, and Austria, the piece makes its way to New York City for the first time.
Solo, Resonando en Eco, by Erik Elizondo, is inspired by the archived song of the extinct bird Kauaʻi ʻōʻō, recorded while the last of its species. This solo reflects on the sentiment of a call that will never be answered—the resonance of extinction.
Ready, Set, Unsettle questions the space between comfort and compromise. When is it worth it to stop, and when is it worth it to persevere? Created and performed by Dimitri Kalaitzidis.
