Alternative Synergy The Company (ASTC) is hiring visionary, high-energy Teaching Artists for our in-school and afterschool programs across NYC. Our programs combine dance, storytelling, video production, and personal transformation—creating space for youth to lead, express, and grow.
We’re looking for:
Dancers (street styles, jazz, ballet, contemporary)
actors
Video editors with a storytelling eye
Directors or creatives who’ve led teams or productions
What You’ll Receive: Paid Training in ASTC’s Method
All hired artists participate in our paid orientation and ongoing training, which includes:
Trauma-informed, equity-based pedagogy for the arts
Multidisciplinary lesson planning (movement + storytelling + media)
Monthly creative meetings & workshops for continued growth
Hands-on practice in our Signature ASTC Method™—where movement, emotion, and creative leadership converge
