This residency project develops an ongoing choreographic work whtat began with Orihara's 2014 solo Prologue performed at La MaMa, originally centered on my relationship with my mother and now expanding to explore the broader influence of MOTHERS - women i have encounteded who have profoundly shaped my life and artistic voice.
My team and I will lead a wrokshop and share a selection of movmenet gestures with participants, guiding them to develop their own movement vocabularies and collaboratively build new material.
