Performa Choreographic Incubator | April 4–26, Philly

Company:
Performa
Ready to make your next dance with support?
In this 4-week incubation series independent artists, dancers, choreographers and performers will hone compositional skills with 16-hours of guided studio work and documentation to support your original, body-based movement creations.
How do we create dances that “reflect” our presence and others? Where does meaning emanate from between movement, ideas, and physical space? Who governs joy, care, surrender, and positive action in the face of social inequality and intimidation?
Performa is designed to supplement your artistic practice. Whether your goal is to plant the seeds of your next fringe project, sharpen your process, meet new collaborators, or encounter a fresh perspective — move on your terms with a community of peers.
About the Program
Performa Choreographic is a vibrant community where artists experiment, connect, and grow. During a multi-week intensive, artists drop-in to create original, body-baseD movement compositions in an open-air setting. Participants leave with new insights, skills, and potential collaborations that extend well beyond the studio.
