Ballet22 Summer Season

Company:
Ballet22
Ballet22 returns to the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center for a program that honors ballet's classical tradition while expanding who gets to tell its stories. The summer season features selections from Coppélia, the San Francisco premiere of Durante Verzola's La Follia, and the world premiere of The Fifth Point by acclaimed choreographer Keelan Whitmore.
Dedicated to presenting queer, transgender, and non-binary artists en pointe, Ballet22 reimagines classical works through contemporary perspectives while commissioning new choreography that broadens representation in ballet. The program explores themes of identity, partnership, belonging, and transformation, demonstrating how the art form continues to evolve while remaining deeply connected to its history.
Performances take place July 25–26 at the Cowell Theater, Fort Mason Center. For tickets and information, visit Ballet22.org.
