Get ready to ride the rhythm. Dance Place AFTER DARK debuts with Backseat Boogie – A 90s Live Burlesque Ride, a one-night-only theatrical experience blending the seductive art of burlesque with the electric energy of 90s music curated by Aquarius Moon, founder of Metro Cabaret Club.
Presented by Metro Cabaret Club, this immersive evening features sultry striptease, nostalgic slow jams, and the raw glamour of a cabaret revival. Audiences will be treated to a dazzling lineup of nationally recognized and local performers, including headliner Miss Poison Ivory, hailed as one of the most captivating showgirls in the world, Metro Cabaret Club resident artists LaBella Mafia and Maki Roll, and host extraordinaire Blake Terrell and Aquarius Moon. The cast includes an incredible cast including Lady Sin’Amon, Nirvana Noire, Venessa Chevelle and Zaffodil.
For audience members who want the full 90s fantasy, doors open early for an exclusive fan dance class from 5 to 6 PM. Following at 6 pm, free and open to the public, come to the Dance Place lobby to shop candles, performer merchandise, vintage clothing, craft goods, vinyl records and more! And at 9 PM, the show begins! Whether you came of age in the backseat of a 90s mixtape or you’re discovering the magic for the first time, this show invites you to dress up, sip something strong, and let the music move you.
