Hello wonderful people! Joey and Lauren are beyond excited to be sharing their duet, “Tethered Ends,” presented by the Re/Venue Mark Morris Dance Center Fall Performance Series! We’ve danced together since 2021 and have performed in each other’s work, and now we’re thrilled to finally create together! This duet asks how proximity between two entities affect one’s perception of self. Does time and space manipulate the identities we’ve long told ourselves to be true, or have we so strongly cemented an unyielding understanding of our own nature?” This modest duet physicalizes our grapplings with these themes.
