Dance Visions NY performs The Body Resilient: Visions of Art for Healing at Cedarmere Park, the summer home of ‘America’s first poet” and journalist William Cullen Bryant. This new concert will be performed outdoors on these beautiful grounds steeped in nature in collaboration with the Friends of Cedarmere. It features rarely seen, timely heroic and dramatic repertory of Isadora Duncan. Additionally are new expressive dance works, many wth live music. The concert addresses pain and healing, despair and hope, and challenges both personal and global in these unsettled times. This concert is in honor of Isadora Duncan master, Adrienne Ramm.
With company dancers: Louisa Armstrong-Harrison, Tyler Brunson, Emily Butera, Abby Dias, Patrec Alexander Jones-Brown, Beth Jucovy, Anne Parichon, Lexi Sim, Susan Steinman.
And musicians Farah Chandu & Willow Women's Choir and Rose Gunter, Staurt Waters & Peter Greco.
Art show curated by local visual art master Marc Josloff, in the Cedarmere Mill at 4 pm, prior to the concert along with water mill demonstations.
This event is supported by a grant from the Maliaka Amon and Anthony Bregman Fund. Additionally supported Long Island Grants for the Arts through funds provided by the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
